  • Multilingual Support: The Writing Center offers a limited number of individual writing consultations with international students, English language learners, and multilingual students, providing specialized feedback to compliment the advice students receive from faculty and trained Writing Center Fellows. Book an appointment with a Multilingual Specialist by looking for the words (Multilingual Support) next to the Fellow's name.
  • Library Research Appointments: The Claremont Colleges Librarian, Alex Odicino offers a limited number of research consultations with students from the Pitzer community providing specialized help with choosing an appropriate research topic, searching for sources, evaluating sources, citing sources, and incorporating sources into work.
  • If an appointment is not available during your desired time, please join our Waiting List by clicking on the "Waiting List" link located at the bottom right of each day's schedule.
    • Or come visit the Academic Quad (outside the Pit Stop) for a quick drop-in appointment during the Writing Center Wagon. Wagon hours are generally Monday through Thursday from 11am-1pm.
  • Appointments are 50 minutes in length. Around the 45-minute point, the Writing Center Fellow will begin to wrap up the session and talk with you about an action plan. Students working on longer projects (like senior theses or term papers longer than 8 pages) may find it helpful to book a 2-hour block in order to give the Fellow more time to read the draft. 2-hour appointments end at the 90-minute point to allow for time for the Fellow to enter records about the session and take a break.
